Offset Printing
Offset Printing is the more traditional printing method. This method typically takes 3 to 5 business days to produce. But there are many variables that may increase the production time including your design. Since offset printing uses semi-liquid Soy-Based Inks if your design has heavy coverage it may take longer for the ink to dry. Please plan ahead, to get the best quality this can not be rushed.
Thermographic Printing
Thermography is also know as raised print. Thermography is like offset printing, but there is an extra step in which the ink is coated and heated which raises up the ink. So the end result is a raised print that you can feel.
Engraved Business Cards
Engraving pre-dates Thermography and it is more expansive, but more refined look and feel. This method requires reusable metal dies and pressure to raise the ink. Typically printed on 100% cotton paper that is extra thick and only printed one side, because the engraving leaves and impression on the back of the cards.
Additional Options
Embossing and Foil Stamping are typically used for logos and main lines only. So they are used with other printing styles such as Offset Printing or Thermography. Although they can also be used with Digital Printing it will depend only your design. If there is not contact or overlapping between the printing methods then it will work for digital printing too.
